Professor Ely Paiva

Professor Ely is the head of the LEVE laboratory. His main research interests are: Control and navigation of mobile robots, Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV’s), electric cars, airships and non-linear control. He is currently doing a Post-Doc in Concordia University in Canada.

Henrique Vieira

Has a Bachelor degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Amazonas State University (2012), Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Campinas State University. Currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in Campinas State University in the area of nonlinear systems control with applications in a autonomous airship.

Lucas Casanova Nogueira

Born in Manaus, has a Computer Engineer degree from Campinas State University and is now working towards a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering. Likes robots and soccer a lot.

Alumni

Rafael Cordeiro

Rafael A. Cordeiro was born in Brazil, in 1986, and received the M.S. degree in mechanical engineering and the B.S. degree in control and automation engineering from the University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil, in 2013 and 2010 respectively. He completed internship programs at the École Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique et des Microtechniques, Besançon, France, in 2008, at the Université de Technologie de Compiègne, France, in 2015, and at the Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal, in 2012 and 2016. In 2017, he finished his Ph.D. studies in electrical engineering at the Unicamp. His current research interests include autonomous and intelligent vehicles, vehicle dynamics, state observers, path tracking and nonlinear control.

Randerson Lemos

Randerson is a Mechanical Engineer who likes to program. He obtained his Masters Degree with LEVE working on a laser-based algorithm for autonomous navigation of orchards environment.
