About me

I am currently head of the Laboratory of Aeronautical Sciences in the School of Mechanical Engineering of University of Campinas. I received my PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering from Stanford University in 2011. In our group, we develop research in turbulence, computational aerodynamics and aeroacoustics.

We focus our studies on both fundamental scientific research and technological applications involving canonical flows and industrial configurations. To solve the problems of interest, we employ large-scale, high-fidelity simulations (DNS, LES, DDES) and reduced order models. Current efforts include application of machine learning to fluid flows, developemnt of physics-based and data-driven reduced order models, high-order numerical methods for turbulent flows and large-scale computing.
