Engineering at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), in Campinas, Sao
Paulo, Brazil, since 2010. Previously I was a research scientist at the
Federal Research Center Renato Archer (CTI), also in Campinas, Sao Paulo,
Brazil (1997-2009). In CTI-Campinas I was co-responsible for the modelling,
simulation and control of the AURORA
airship, which in year 2000 made the first autonomous flight of an
unmanned airship of the scientific literature. Research ProjectsCurrently, I lead the Project VERDE (Electric Robotic Vehicle with Electronic Differential), 2014- 2016, related to the construction and automation of an electrical mini-Baja type vehicle. I am also a research collaborator of Project DRONI (Robotic Airship with Innovative Conception), 2014-2017, conducted by CTI-Campinas. Project DRONI aims at designing and constructing an autonomous airship (10 meters long) with 4 electric engines to be used in a pilot flight, as a proof of concept for environment monitoring in Mamiraua reserve in Amazon.
